Gender Role

This topic comes from the sociology of gender, this is about how a person can self-identify her or his role in life, or in their relationships.
This is a very interesting topic because it's about how nowadays there's a feeling and an attitude to the woman that seems that comes from many centuries ago. I mean, there has been an advance, now women can work outside the house, but there are still gender roles that are established in the mind of the society.

Well, I started to search for this topic since I took an assignment about Human Rigths and the holocaust. One of the units of it was the role that women has in the relationship with men. It has been always a relation full of violence, symbolical and physical, 'cause men always had thought them-self as superior.

These is a really good site, it has a lot of articles about many many topics of sociology whritten by diferent autors. Besides you can know how sociological knowledge advances, 'cause it gives you current information.

My weekend

Well, actually my weekend was really boring, I was studing..
However, I went to dance cueca to San Bernardo with my boyfriend, a friend and her dad, was really funny...
After that I study for two test and a presentation that I had this week..

A little bit about me...

Well, I'm not very good doing this, but I'm gonna try to do it right.

My name is Pamela, I'm 19 years old. I'm the firs of two brothers, he's name is Andrew.. I really mist him. I'm from Curico, I've been in Santiago since last year.
Moving here have been an extremely weird experience... First, leave my home, my fiends, especially my family, it's been hard. Second, enter to college, try to keep up whit everyone, start over with people that I didn't know... like I said a weird experience.
But not everything has been bad, I foud a really great goup of friends, our classemates call us "banda curicana", but two of us are not from Curico, Ruben is from Santiago and Seba is from Temuco, only Javi and I are from Curico.
Actually I was born here so is like return into my old life, I'm living on the same flat that I used to when we leave Santiago (when I was 5 years old)
